Railway Stations, Station Structures and Railway operation
This subject acquaints students with the main principles, methods and current codes in the design and reconstruction of railway stations. The necessary equipment for the different types of stations (transit-, passing-, sorting-, passenger-, freight-, harbour-, industrial and railway junctions) are considered. Students learn the main principles of operation of railways and safety equipment securing the train traffic safety.
Railway Stations, Station Structures and Railway operation - Project Assignment
The project in railway stations, station structures and railway operation includes: - development of two options of a junction station; - cross section of the station through the station’s building axis; - station site drainage design.
Railways, General Course
This is a general course for Road Construction students, related to standard railways and cable railways. Students obtain a basic knowledge on the design and construction of the above facilities, which, complemented to the road construction training will make the future civil engineers in road construction capable to solve complex transport tasks.
Railways, General Course
This is a general course for students in the Transport Structural Facilities speciality. Students obtain a basic knowledge on the design and construction of standard railways and specific railways, including bridging facilities (overpasses, underpasses) as well as level crossings. During the exercises students develop a conceptual project for a railway in two options and a project for a small railway station.
