This discipline examines the artificial lighting, the main types of light sources, lighting fixtures and their use in interior and exterior of buildings and urban environment. The aim of the course is to give theoretical knowledge and practical skills on light and basic concepts of the artificial lighting as well as the ways for use in the different types of architectural spaces. The main tasks of the course are to acquaint students with: physics of light; perception of light and its impact on men and their activities; main products and techniques of architectural lighting.
