 The project concerns a double - span overpass over two - lane highway. The plan of the bridge is in straight lane without skew. By static scheme, the bridge is of “beam type” simple span beam system with expansion joints at all piers. The abutments are without retaining walls. The wings are of cantilever type. The type of the piers is chosen by the student. The project includes analysis of some of the components of the bridge superstructure - cast-in-situ road slab and precast prestressed after concreting main beam using “Freissinet” system for prestressing.
