The course deals with: properties and behavior of concrete, reinforcing steel and reinforced concrete; theory of the reinforced concrete; principles of the method of limit states; analysis of reinforced concrete structures; design methods for slabs, beams, columns, frames, foundations.
The course is based on the structural standards EUROCODE.
The course aims to develop the skills of the students in the design, in the detailing of the different types of reinforced concrete members and structures and in the general composition of building's reinforced concrete structures.
