This is a main, profiling discipline for students in Transportation Engineering programme, Railway Construction speciality. It gives them an in-depth knowledge for the railroad-rolling stock interaction and the ensuing requirements for the train traffic safety. The main topics considered in lectures and exercises concern the superstructure and its components, the load impacts on them, characteristics of the railway superstructure geometry, the stressed and strained state of the railroad, its maintenance and repair.
