Successfully finished the examine on the subject will know the functions of the main parts of the bridge superstructure. They will know the deck structures , their calculations and structural detailing. They will have idea for the surfacing of road bridges and methods for laying out of tracks of railroad bridges. They will know the function an the design of the bracings at the road level, as well as of all other bracings, necessary for structural stability. They will know the function, the design and the placement of the different structural bearings, as well as the expansion joints.
