Successfully finished the examine on the subject will be able to design composite members like: plates and slabs with profiled steel sheeting, compressed members, filler beam decks, plate girders and lattice members with precast or ordinary concreted slabs. They will know methods for realizing the connection between the steel and concrete parts of the composite girders for the cases of precast or ordinary concreted slabs. They will know the influence of the concrete long term effects on the behaviour of a composite member, as well as the influence of the fatigue on the connecting devices. They will be able to use different building technologies when a composite bridge structure is to be build.
