Assessment of the Structural and Insulation Systems of Buildings and Facilities

Assessment of the Structural and Insulation Systems of Buildings and Facilities

This subject is aimed to expand and deepen the knowledge and skills of the future structural engineers for analysis of the bearing structures and insulation systems of existing buildings and facilities, as well as for acquaintance with the methods for assessment of their actual condition. They should be able to make correct analyses of and conclusions from the results of the conducted non-destructive and diagnostic in-situ and laboratory tests, to carry out objective qualitative and quantitative assessments of the wearing rate of various components, structures, waterproofing, thermal- and noise insulations, to make correct decisions for their further use and their rehabilitation, repair, strengthening and/or renovation.
