The discipline “Computer-aided engineering” includes the following main topics: basics of computer graphics and geometrical modelling (theory, perspectives, visualization, transformations, 2D and 2. 5D computer graphics), computer graphics with AutoCAD (drawing commands, editing, visualization, layers, blocks, dimensions, etc. ), work with database management systems (design rules, types, usage). An introduction to the theory of relational databases is presented. Students are working with the following software systems: AutoCAD and MS Access.
