Students acquire knowledge related to the disciplines Statics of Structures, Theory of
Elasticity and Plasticity, Stability and Dynamics of Structures. Algorithms for nonlinear
static and dynamic analysis of structures are developed. Reinforced concrete- and
steel structures taken from the design practice (buildings and bridges) are modelled.
Computer-aided seismic analysis of structures is carried out in compliance with the
Bulgarian codes.
