The discipline „Retaining and foundation constructions” extends the knowledge of the students in the field of Geotechnics, necessary for the Master Degree in structural engineering. The problems of spline, sheet pile, Berlin and pile walls; anchors and anchor constructions; reinforced soil walls and geotextile retaining walls are treated in the discipline. Also a different kind of advance foundation (anchored foundation, inclined foundation and foundation plate; piles foundation, spline foundation and well foundation and foundation in difficult geological condition) are explained.
