This subject helps students interested in the problems of reconstruction and modernization of buildings and structures to get acquainted with contemporary composite materials with better parameters and performance.
The following aspects of the composite materials are considered: technical specifications, production and application of the materials obtained through polymer-modification of the traditional materials (polymer-concrete, polymer-cement concrete, concrete-polymers, polymer-silica concrete, restoration of the solidness of concrete, etc), fiber-reinforced composite materials, waterproofing composite materials.
