Geographic Information Systems

This discipline gives students the necessary knowledge on the contemporary perception and the application areas of GIS. These data are necessary for learning and implementation of various concepts and models for storage and representation of data and/or information for land and property planning and management. The main part of the subject is oriented towards the practical use of GIS as a technology, for identification of the specific fields of application of the degree programme “Land and Real Estate Management and Planning”. The course coverage is in compliance with the syllabi of the courses Programming and Application of Computer Systems, Surveying, Data Bases and Graphical Systems.
