Metal Structures

The aim of the course is to make an introduction to the composition of structural systems made from metals and give advanced knowledge on the structural verification and detailing of the major structural components – beams, trusses, columns, frames, etc. Considerable attention is paid to the structures of low-rise industrial buildings and to the structural design features of floor structures, roof structures, cladding, etc., which are often included as sub-systems of various structural complexes.
