The first part of the subject acquaints students with the fundamentals of the theoretical ecology. The wider and philosophic knowledge obtained on the man-environment interaction allows a global interpretation on a solid engineering basis built on the technical disciplines studied. The second part considers the applied aspect of the theoretical ecology, the environmental protection. Students learn about global ecological problems, steps undertaken worldwide, and the major current laws adopted in EU and Bulgaria. A civil consciousness is developed for protection of Earth for the future generations.
