Cultural Heritage: Theories and Practices – Specialized Course

The discipline deepens professional knowledge by getting into the essence of theories and their strong (two-way) interconnection with practices in the field of cultural (and in particular architectural) heritage conservation.

The main task of the discipline is to form future specialists capable of critically and comprehensively considering the cultural heritage of our time and of generating new ideas and alternative possibilities for its conservation. The tasks of the discipline are: upgrading knowledge about the essence of the cultural heritage and about the tools and approaches for its conservation for people; formation of skills for handling various documents, analyzing controversial cases, applying theoretical knowledge in designing at different levels; building a professional attitude towards the role of architectural heritage in contemporary life.
