Society and Heritage: Conservation Culture

The discipline aims to develop students' understanding of: architectural heritage; its role and significance in the environment in relation to contemporary social values; the diverse and unique opportunities it offers for a better quality of life.

It also builds up students' sensitivity to our surroundings, raises awareness of the development of ideas on heritage, knowledge of key documents in the field and basic understanding of design processes in environments and/or sites of cultural significance.
