History of Architecture

The aim of the discipline is to present architecture as a creative and creative human activity that develops and is the basis of landscape planning. This is achieved by tracing the history of architecture followed by an analysis of its material expressions – mainly architectural objects that are directly related to the achievements of art of gardens and parks. Their development and realization is traced, in a global aspect, in the context of symbolism, stylistic identity, planning and constructive features in the time range from its origin through Antiquity to its modern achievements. Sites and phenomena of Bulgarian architecture are considered in the context of European/world architecture for the relevant period.
