The course is addressed to the typical reinforced concrete structures is Bulgaria. Special attention is paid to the multistory structural wall systems. Matters of design actions, analysis and detailing as well as structural stiffness, loadbearing capacity and ductility are discussed. Single story cast-in-place and prefabricated frame structures are addressed. Matters of large panel prefabricated structures, widely used in Bulgaria are also discussed. Prestressed structures as well as foundation systems are also addressed in this course. All aspects are considered in the provisions of Eurocode.
After completing the course students attain skills for designing reinforced concrete structures in seismic areas.
