This subject is intended to acquaint students with the basic methods for receiving, registering and processing information from space satellites. The main issues are: types of equipment for receiving multi-channel images and their carriers; conditions of surveying and parameters of images; influence of various factors on the quality of images received and on the applied methods for digital processing and corrections of different types of distortion. Knowledge on the methods of decoding of the automatic classification and image interpretation, based on the methods of analysis, is obtained.
