Partners

The University of Architecture Civil Engineering and Geodesy was founded in 1942 by professors who had graduated abroad. In accordance with the regulations for the election of full professors, the appointed professors were seconded for a year to Zurich and Vienna. At the beginning, international cooperation was oriented towards prestigious partner universities with established faculties and specialties, with rich libraries and well-developed teaching in the fields of civil engineering, architecture and land surveying. The first contacts of UACEG were with the Technical Universities of Vienna, Berlin, Zurich, Munich and Dresden.

At present UACEG has concluded bilateral cooperation agreements with more than 117 universities abroad from the Programme Countries under the Erasmus+ KA131 Programme

UACEG lecturers visit foreign partner universities to study postgraduate courses or work in their laboratories and libraries, to consult with colleagues, to give lectures, to share experiences and ideas for joint activities and to maintain partnerships.

The international cooperation of UACEG contributes significantly to the successful habilitation of the faculty staff, to the improvement of the quality of teaching and to the establishment of the University as a national centre for education and science in the fields of architecture, civil engineering and geodesy.
