The laboratory is accredited by the State Inspectorate for Regional Planning and Building Control for construction technologies.
Laboratory on Cartography is equipped with modern computers and licensed software by Intergraph, Autodesk, Adobe, Corel, Trimble, KB Panorama and GPS devices Trimble Juno SB. Different kind of courses, which are included in the program of Specialization on Cartography are held at the lab: Visualization of Geodata, Virtual Cartographic Modeling, Мultimedia tools for creation of 3D models, Map production, Web design. Courses by Erasmus are also held with guest speakers from abroad.
Since March 1, 2013 Laboratory on Cartography is named to Prof. Dr. Benjamin Cohen – honorable Bulgarian scientist and professor of cartography (1930 – 2003).
