This discipline emphasizes on the basic requirements related to design, construction and maintenance of water supply and sewerage systems and structures. Students pursuing the Irrigation and Drainage Engineering programme acquire knowledge and skills allowing them to participate in the construction and operation of water supply and sewerage systems and structures related to the catchment, treatment, transportation and distribution of water for the needs of settlements and industry.
