Successfully finished the education course will be able to design main structural systems like: Plate girders: simply supported, continuous, composite, box girders; Latice girders: simply supported, continuous. They will be acquainted with the main structural features, methods of erection and behaviour of the following bridges: Arch systems; Frame systems; Cable stayed systems; Suspension systems. They will be able to design the desk members bracing structures, expansion joints and bearings of the structures mentioned above. They will be acquainted with main activities concerning diagnostics, repair and strengthening of the bridges in service.
